A new pub, offering pizza, tacos and handcrafted cocktails, has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 1818 Augusta St., Suite 120 , the new arrival is called Tacozzini.
On the menu, look for tacos like the Ying Yang Shrimp, which includes grilled teriyaki shrimp with bacon and pineapple salsa, or the Southern Roots with smoked pork and lime jalapeño slaw.
For pizza, diners can opt for the Mighty Green, which includes fresh basil pesto, broccoli and artichoke hearts, or the Greek Street, with shaved lamb and feta cheese. (Take a look at the full menu here.)
Tacozzini also serves a number of signature cocktails, including the Cucumber Collins with gin and cucumber nectar, and the Spinster with Rumhaven Coconut Rum with guava, bitters and simple syrup.
The new addition has proven popular thus far, with a four-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp.
Jamie T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 25, wrote, "Awesome, six stars! Great vibe, fresh decor and attention to detail: well-selected tunes in the background. Menu covers lots of bases, but remains clear and easy to choose."
And Shane R. wrote, "Where do I start? Tacozzini is incredible. From the front door to the table, I've never felt more welcome. The staff greets you at your door, if the place isn't booming — because it's amazing — you'll be sat near instantly. The menu is clear, concise, to the point and delicious."
