Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places for Filipino cuisine around San Antonio, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to meet your needs.

1. Susie's Lumpia House

Topping the list is Susie's Lumpia House. Located at 8923 Culebra Road, Suite 106, the buffet spot is the highest-rated Filipino restaurant in San Antonio, boasting 4.5 stars out of 96 reviews on Yelp.

On the menu, you'll see dishes like the Bistek Tagalog (Filipino beef steak thinly sliced and cooked in soy sauce and lemon juice, then garnished with onions), Lechon Paksiw (sweet and tangy pork stew with chopped lechon, vinegar, sugar and liver sauce) and Dinuguan (a savory stew of blood and meat simmered in a spicy gravy of pig blood, garlic, chilis and vinegar).

Yelper Rochelle G., who reviewed it on June 28, said, "Good authentic Filipino food! Friendly and knowledgeable service. Pricing was reasonable and food was fresh. They also have a grocery for some Asian items."

2. Laguna Cafe

Next up is Laguna Cafe, situated at 8403 State Highway 151, Suite 110. With 4.5 stars out of 94 reviews on Yelp, the New American, Filipino and Asian fusion spot has proven to be a local favorite.

Offering comfort foods from various cuisines, you'll see Filipino dishes like the Embutido (a meatloaf-like dish served with rice and topped with two fried eggs), the chicken or pork Adobo Plate (slow-simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf and black pepper, then served with pancit, lumpia and white rice) and the Kare-Kare (tripe and beef tendon in peanut sauce with mixed veggies and rice).

Veronica L., who visited it on Aug. 25, wrote, "Top-notch chicken adobo and really good pancit! The staff is so welcoming and nice. Definitely drop in and support this small business. I believe when I was in they had a sign advertising buffet on the weekend."

3. Lily's Philippine Bakery & Restaurant

Lily's Philippine Bakery & Restaurant, located at 8210 Glider Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the bakery and Filipino spot four stars out of 72 reviews.

The buffet-style eatery has options like the chicken adobo, daing bangus, lumpias, pancit bihon, ginisang mungo and more.

Yelper Natasha H. said, "Moving from Hawaii, we were worried we wouldn't find good Filipino food, but Lily's home cooking is absolutely wonderful — fresh and full of flavor! It's buffet-style, and there's even a dessert table with bilo bilo. The setting is nice and homey, the service is great, food is fantastic, and Lily is such a sweet lady."

4. Deco Cafe Filipiniana

Deco Cafe Filipiniana, a Filipino buffet spot, is another go-to, with four stars out of 55 Yelp reviews. Head over to 6812 Bandera Road, Suite 101, to see for yourself.

It has a lunch buffet on the weekends with a variety of Filipino, Asian and American dishes, and an a la carte menu Tuesday-Friday. You'll see menu options such as the Beef Nilaga soup, Pork Adobo, Seafood Paella, Pancit Canton with Sotanghon and more.

It also serves breakfast items, desserts, baked goods, coffee and boba tea.
