Turning Natural has opened its latest location at 1933 Ninth St. NW in Shaw. The local chain — which has multiple locations across the Washington D.C. metro area — specializes in vegan eats, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies.
On the food menu, look for açai and pitaya bowls with your choice of toppings, or the Asian noodle salad with snap peas, red peppers and onions.
For drinks, Yelpers have raved about the Blue Bear smoothie, which includes blueberry and dates in almond milk, and the Bob Marley, which comes with mango, papaya, guava juice and hemp protein. (Take a look at the full menu here.)
With a 3.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Turning Natural is getting a mixed response from clientele.
Yelper Monique C. wrote, "The owner was super sweet and helpful. She greeted us and explained the menu to us upon entering and helped us decide what to get. The smoothies (Bob Marley, Chill Pill and Chuck Brown) were delicious, healthy and filling. We will definitely return."
