There's a brand-new lounge in town. Called Union District Oyster Bar & Lounge, the fresh addition is located at 501 Morse St., NE in Eckington.
True to its name, this spot offers a variety of seafood-based eats. Delve into its deep-fried buttermilk lobster tail with five-cheese macaroni and cheese, sautéed asparagus and Cajun cream aioli.
Thirsty? Sip on one of its 300 whiskeys, 90 wine varietals or specially crafted cocktails.
The new lounge has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp.
Kenya D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 20, wrote, "The staff is friendly, that's a major plus. The managers are very friendly, which is a major plus for me. The service could be a little faster, but you do have to know that it's the talk of the city at the moment."
And Heather H. wrote, "We ordered the pan-seared halibut and the pan-seared wild-caught salmon. No complaints. The food and drinks are a little pricey, but not too bad, though."
