If you've got breakfast and brunch on the mind, a recent opening is on your need-to-know list. Called Terrain Cafe, the fresh arrival is located at 7228 Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda Row.

The new cafe is the food and beverage offering from Terrain, Urban Outfitter's modern nursery brand. It joins other East Coast locations in Devon and Glen Mills in Pennsylvania and Westport, Connecticut.

Terrain offers seasonal menus wi locally sourced meat, seafood and dairy products, according to its website. Try the smoked salmon on toast with crème fraîche, crispy capers, fresh dill and beet relish. (Take a look at its full menu here.)

On the drink menu, the cafe offers a wide selection of coffee, spritzers, cocktails and craft beers.

With a four-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Terrain Cafe has gotten a good response.

Tiffany T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 20, wrote, "Lots of staff working to make sure needs are met. We ate a whole bunch, including zucchini fritters, kale salad, whipped ricotta toast, cauliflower, scallops and mushroom fondue small plates."

Yelper Joy D. added, “Pretty and cute. But the layout is cramped. The restroom is accessible, but the dining area doesn't seem that easy to get around for those with special needs and even strollers."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Terrain Cafe is open from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
