Viva Tequis Taqueria and Cantina
Viva Tequis Taqueria and Cantina is a Mexican restaurant located at 102 Statesville Road, Suite B-2. Formerly Tequilas Mexican Restaurant, it has reopened with a new name and a menu focused on Mexican street food, California-style burritos and favorites from the old eatery. Here is the full menu.

Cava
Stop by 16845 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Suite D, and you'll find Cava, a new Mediterranean spot that has dozens of other locations across the country. The chain was created by childhood friends and "celebrates the flavors of their families’ traditional Greek and Mediterranean cooking in a casual, modern setting," per its website.
Expect customizable Greek meals (Chipotle style). First, choose a base between grains, greens or pita, then select up to three dips (hummus, tzatziki or eggplant) and top it all off with a choice of protein (such as meatballs, braised beef or falafel). See the full menu here.
The Egg Cafe
The Egg Cafe is a new casual eatery with an outdoor patio that's located at 9525 Birkdale Crossing, Suite 101, and comes courtesy of owners Robert and Eileen McCrary. Breakfast, lunch and dinner fare is offered seven days a week. Menu options include eggs Benedict and a full stack of pancakes for breakfast and a Reuben sandwich for lunch.
