Frutta Bowls is serving up healthful fare in midtown at 1055 Metropolitan Ave., Suite A4. This is the national chain's first eatery in Charlotte.
The menu features açaí, kale, oatmeal and pitaya bowls. Try the Superfood bowl made of kale, organic açaí, pitaya, pineapple and almond milk, topped with granola, banana, strawberries, coconut flakes and chia seeds. Smoothies and seasonal options like the Candy Apple Crunch bowl are also on offer.
Stacey's Deli & Catering

Over in southwest Charlotte, Stacey's Deli & Catering has opened its doors at 10720 S. Tryon St., Suite O. It features hot and cold sandwiches with bread options like pretzel rolls, pita wraps and marble rye.
Noteworthy offerings include the French dip with Angus beef, Swiss cheese and au jus, and Veggie Delight wrap with peppers, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, cucumber and hummus. Sides like Mediterranean potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw and Greek yogurt are also available.
Max & Lola Bodega

Now open at 1501 S. Mint St. in Wilmore is Max & Lola Bodega, a wine and bottle shop that has an on-site food truck and outdoor patio.
The store offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in its coolers and eats like nachos, burritos and quesadillas from the food truck. There are 19 taps of wine, sangria, cider and beer on offer, plus specialty grocery items for snacking.
TapHaus49

TapHaus49 is a family-owned gastropub that recently debuted at 13230 Carowinds Blvd. in Yorkshire. On its website, the new establishment says it wants to "bring culinary delights from around the world to your local neighborhood."
Menu options include pimento cheese fritters, fig and prosciutto flatbread, bone-in pork chop with gnocchi, sandwiches and wings. Pair your meal with wine, beer and cocktails like the Pear Mule with Grey Goose Vodka, craft ginger beer, lime and pear.
