Interested in exploring the newest businesses to open in Washington? From an ice cream shop that uses liquid nitrogen to a spot for coffee and banking, read on for the newest hot spots to open their doors near you.
I'm Eddie Cano

I'm Eddie Cano is an Italian restaurant from Joe Andres' ThinkFoodGroup that recently opened at 5014 Connecticut Ave. NW in Chevy Chase.
The cheeky name — said fast, it's meant to sound like "Americano," the nickname for the Italian-American co-owner — reflects the dual nature of the menu, split between classic Italian and American-influenced dishes. Look for grilled octopus, bucatini all'Amatriciana (pasta with cured pork cheeks), spaghetti with baby clams and fettuccini Alfredo.
Nicecream

New to 1924 Eighth St. NW in Shaw is Nicecream. The small, local chain uses liquid nitrogen to flash-freeze cream and flavorings to make your ice cream while you watch.
Sample flavors from the rotating menu. Recent options include apple pie, brown sugar baked pear, butter toffee pecan and dark chocolate. You'll also find cookies and coffee from Del Ray's Swing's Coffee Roasters.
Susheria

Next stroll past 3101 K St. NW in Georgetown and you'll find Susheria, a Peruvian and Japanese spot. To be more exact, it offers Nikkei cuisine, a hybrid that reflects the Japanese influence on Peruvian food.
You'll spot the blend of flavors in maki rolls that feature fresh fish and avocado topped with a chile-based sauce and rice bowls with lomo saltado, the classic Peruvian dish of sliced beef, chiles and french fries. Pair your meal with sake or a house cocktail.
Capital One Café

Now open at 732 Seventh St. NW in Chinatown is Capital One Café. Just down the street from Capital One Arena, you can grab a caffeinated beverage from Peet's Coffee, work on your laptop (Wi-Fi is free), hold a meeting or get some free banking advice.
It's a new concept from the bank to appeal to millennials who may be skeptical of traditional banks in favor of online banking, according to Business Insider. You don't need to be a Capital One customer to use the space in D.C., though if you do have an account, you get half off your coffee.
