GumboFest 2018

This annual festival, now in its 25th year, was once a private backyard event. It became so popular though that it opened to the public. At the festival, you'll enjoy gumbo and other Cajun fare from authentic Louisiana cooks, plus live music from New Orleans natives OMG Sounds and other bands.
Partial proceeds from the event will go to a scholarship fund to help first generation students attend college.

Dream Run/Walk to Fight Childhood Cancer

This run/walk is stroller and pet friendly. Its proceeds will go to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in honor of Michael Heras, an organization that funds children's cancer treatment research.
If you're seeking to compete, there's a competitive timed option, with overall male and female winners receiving gift cards from Fleet Feet.

"Footsteps of a Fieldworker" Tour

If you'd like to take on a more active role in your charitable contributions, this tour will give you information on working with Doctors Without Borders as a fieldworker, whether you're a medical professional or not. The event includes immersive VR experiences that put you into the perspective of a volunteer in countries like Iraq, Lebanon, Mexico, Tanzania and South Sudan.
