Atlas Obscura Society Denver: Microranching on the Range

The consumption of insects as cuisine, known as entomophagy, is already practiced by 80 percent of cultures around the globe, and finally being discovered in the West. 

Tour the first and only edible insect farm in Colorado. Learn how the farm raises molitos, the larvae of the darkling beetle for restaurants and food makers, and the environmental benefits of insect consumption. Taste molitos as pastries and cricket popcorn with Grasshopah, a cider from the Colorado Cider Company. 

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time for check-in. The tour is appropriate for children ages 12 and over. Comfortable shoes and clothing are suggested.
