Persian Women in Tech One-Year Anniversary
First, join Persian Women in Tech as they celebrate their first anniversary empowering Iranian women working in STEM careers across the globe. Ten women from the Washington, D.C., area will be honored, including executives, engineers and others from Google, IBM, NASA and more. This is a 21-and-over event.

Free guided tour of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum
Another option is this free guided tour of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. In December, the museum will begin closing some of its galleries as part of a $650 million, five-year renovation project. This is your chance to visit many of the galleries that will be closed during the renovation process.

Holiday Party and Costume Competition
Or, you might put together a holiday-themed costume for this DJ-driven dance party. The best three costumes will earn cash prizes, and there will be drink and hookah specials. The rooftop at Ozio is where it'll happen.

Juste Debout: Hip-Hop Dance Event
Hip-hop dancers will want to pair up for this competition to be held at Union Market. Two-person teams will perform short routines in categories like popping, locking and house dance. Judges will choose four teams to go on to compete at the main event next year in Paris.
