Hulun Beir Mongolian Food
7 Holland St., Davis Square

Also new to Davis Square: Hulun Beir Mongolian Food.
The Mongolian barbecue spot offers homestyle fare for dine-in and take-out — including grilled meats and seafood, rock-pot dishes, fried buns, dumplings and other small bites, as well as crepes, soups and salads. One standout so far: the beef rock-pot, featuring diced beef cubes cooked with carrots and white radish or potato. (Check out the full menu here.)
Hulun Beir Mongolian Food's current Yelp rating of 3.5 stars out of 19 reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way.
Yelper Cristina R., who reviewed Hulun Beir Mongolian Food on July 28, wrote, "Started with the barbecue lamb kebabs — great flavor. Then came the Mongolian beef burger. The moist beef is shredded with green peppers, which adds a nice freshness. And then we rocked out with the large chicken rock pot. This stew is spicy and flavorful with tender bone-in chicken pieces and veggies that soak it all up. I recommend getting a side of rice to really enjoy all of the broth."
Haotian W. noted, "Very nice Mongolian and Chinese food! Recommend their rock-pot and barbecue, particularly chicken wings and cauliflower."
Hulun Beir Mongolian Food is open from 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
