With a 4.5-star Yelp rating out of four reviews, the new eatery has been getting positive attention.

Yelper John H., who reviewed it on Oct. 10, wrote, "So excited to see the new kid on the South End block be Sabor! I love how these locally owned Charlotte restaurants have grown through the years with so many new locations."

Connor O. noted, "I remember not long ago when I thought I made the best ground beef taco in the world but the 'autentico' with beef has met its match. You can't go wrong here."

Max & Lola Bodega

Located at 1501 S. Mint St., Max & Lola Bodega offers a rotating selection of wines as well as craft and international beers.

The new arrival also features sangria and beer on tap with sit-down tables available. Need a snack? The business has a selection of international grocery items and a food truck that serves tacos and burritos. 

Yelpers are generally positive about Max & Lola Bodega, which currently holds four stars out of 12 reviews on the site.

Jacqueline T., who reviewed it on Oct. 10, wrote, "We went here for a happy hour recently and it was a really cool place to hang out. They have a handful of taps and a large selection of bottles. I got a burrito from the food truck. It was really good, but a little on the small side."

Max & Lola Bodega is open from 4–10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4–11 p.m. on Thursday, noon–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and noon–8 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, located at 1920 Camden Road, is a new spot to get a sweet treat. 

The artisan ice cream chain has a wide selection of flavors — including egg nog, pumpkin and brambleberry — that are available both on-site and for delivery. Delivery is available for online orders of three pints or more. 

Yelpers are liking Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, which has 4.5 stars out of 87 reviews.

Lindsay W., who reviewed it on Nov. 11, wrote, "I didn't think it would live up to the hype, but it did. The flavors are incredible and seem to be made with freshest ingredients. I love the number of flavor options, too."

Yelper Jess L. wrote, "The ice cream rocks and the employees are super friendly. The space is small and you can expect a line."

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is open from noon–10 p.m. on Monday–Thursday and Sunday and noon–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
