Every year, at least since 1994, people have been celebrating World Vegan Day on November 1. That being said, you don't have to be a strict vegan to enjoy Seattle's vegan fare.

Fortunately, there are plenty of options from which to choose. To help, Hoodline combed through Yelp data and applied our own secret sauce to come up with the best vegan destinations in Seattle.

1. Mighty-O Donuts

Topping the list is Mighty-O Donuts. Located at 2110 N. 55th St. in Wallingford, the bakery is the highest rated vegan spot in Seattle, boasting 4.5 stars out of 728 reviews on Yelp.

The first Mighty-O Donut was sold in 2000. With a focus on sustainability, all the mixes and glazes this shop creates are made with organic ingredients. Look for doughnuts like vanilla glazed sprinkle, raspberry glaze or the specialty lemon poppyseed glaze. Check out the menu here for all the options.

Yelper Eric F. said, "Good vegan doughnuts. My wife and I sampled the French toast, chocolate and seasonal pumpkin spice."

2. No Bones Beach Club

Next up is Ballard's No Bones Beach Club, situated at 5410 17th Ave. NW. With 4.5 stars out of 484 reviews on Yelp, the cocktail bar and vegan eatery, serving sandwiches and more, has proven to be a local favorite.

No Bones features an eclectic, plant-based menu with options such as beer-battered avocado toast, crispy stuffed poblano peppers, tofu fish and chips and a sandwich made with organic tempeh dipped in coconut Buffalo sauce and served on a rustic bun with creamy cilantro slaw. Here is the full menu.

3. Plum Vegan Bistro

Then there's Plum Vegan Bistro, located at 1429 12th Ave. in Capitol Hill, which specializes in plant-based comfort food. Yelpers give the popular vegan spot four stars out of 1,308 reviews.

Start with spicy Cajun mac and cheese or fried okra, then move on to sweet potato gnocchi or vegan shrimp scampi. Gourmet burgers, pizzas, protein bowls and salads are also featured on the menu.

Yelper Jenny D. wrote, "One of the best vegan restaurants I have been to to date. We had the biscuits and gravy, tofu scramble, banana hot cakes, blueberry stack, spinach and yam crepes, and the veggie slam. ... I highly recommend even to non vegans!"
