Waterbean Coffee is a spot to score coffee, tea and sandwiches. With five locations in the Charlotte area, the newest spot is now open for business at 1111 Metropolitan Ave., Suite 160, in the Metropolitan shopping center. 

In addition to coffee, Waterbean's menu offers a wide range of beverage options including bubble tea, smoothies, espressos and lattes. See the full menu here. Wine and beer are also available.

With a four-star Yelp rating out of five reviews, Waterbean Coffee has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Kelly Cathleen R., who reviewed it on Oct. 10, wrote, "The shop is empty, but the employees are nice and helpful. Hoping they get some foot traffic because the regular drip coffee is nice and I would love to come back."

Yelper Mike C. wrote, "Great coffee options, tasteful interior design and wonderful service. Great to see this place open! Hoping they keep it up as it becomes more popular."

Waterbean Coffee is open from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.

Chi's Pizza

Located at 2212 Park Road, Chi's Pizza is a spot to grab pizza and more.

Chi's Pizza specializes in New York-style pizza but also offers chicken wings, hot dogs and a large selection of appetizers. See the full menu here. The new arrival also offers delivery. 

Chi's is off to a strong start with five stars out of 17 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Matthew M., who reviewed the newcomer on Oct. 10, wrote, "After living in New York City, I finally have a local pizzeria to get authentic New York-style pizza. The owner Chi is really sincere and wants to make sure you have a great experience."

Chi's Pizza is open from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 4:30–9:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 4:30–10 p.m. on Friday, 4:30–10 p.m. on Saturday, and 4–9:30 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Frutta Bowls

New addition Frutta Bowls is serving up açaí bowls, juices and smoothies. Located at 1055 Metropolitan Ave., Suite A4, Frutta Bowls is a national chain with several locations across the country.

In addition to açaí bowls, the menu features a variety of other healthy options including pitaya bowls and kale bowls. See the full menu here.

Frutta Bowls currently has a rating of 4.5 stars out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Jessica R., who reviewed it on Oct. 10, wrote, "Really loved this açaí option in Charlotte! They have a wide variety to choose from and you can even substitute the items on all of them."

Yelper Christy C. wrote, "This place is healthy, quick, reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly. I stopped to try an açaí bowl at lunch."

Frutta Bowls is open from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.

The Queen and Glass

The Queen and Glass is a cocktail bar and eatery, offering tapas and more at 1315 East Blvd., Suite 115.

With 3.5 stars out of 14 reviews on Yelp, the Queen and Glass is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Yelper Angie G., who reviewed the new establishment on Oct. 10, wrote, "I was craving a good cocktail, so we gave this place a chance last night. I thought the drinks were very good and enjoyed them immensely. As far as the food goes, we only ordered the duck fat fries. They were good but definitely needed more salt. "

Yelper Daniel J. wrote, "Great cocktails and friendly service. Food is just OK. The lighting is a bit bright late at night."  

The Queen and Glass is open from 5 p.m.–midnight on Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
