Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable pizza hot spots in Dallas, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to fulfill your urges.
1. Italia Express
Topping the list is Italia Express. Located at 4000 Cedar Springs Road in Oak Lawn, the Italian spot, which offers pizza and more, is the highest rated cheap pizza spot in Dallas, boasting 4.5 stars out of 403 reviews on Yelp.
The pizza place sells big NY-style slices based off of what pies are currently available in the display. It also offers calzones, strombolis, pasta and other entrees, plus coffee and dessert options. (Check out the full menu here.)
Reggie V., who reviewed it on Nov. 14, said, "This is the best pizza in Dallas. I've been going here for years. It's a family run operation that is open late. The pizza is NY style and sold by the slice."
2. Mimi's Pizzeria
Next up is North Dallas's Mimi's Pizzeria, situated at 6807 W. Northwest Highway. With 4.5 stars out of 258 reviews on Yelp, the Italian spot, which offers pizza and sandwiches, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for an inexpensive option.
For pizza, it offers Neapolitan and deep dish Sicilian options. Specialty pies include the Mimi's with spinach, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and ricotta; the Works with pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, green peppers, mushroom, onion and black olives; and the Rossi Boston with Italian sausage, hamburger and meatballs. You can also find pasta, salads, subs and more.
George U. wrote, "Nothing but good things to say about Mimi's. Great pasta and even better pizza. Pizza by the slice is perfect for a quick dinner, and there is take out and delivery. Also, it's a BYOB establishment, so having a bottle of wine with great pizza is absolutely encouraged."
3. Dough Bro's Italian Kitchen
Far North's Dough Bro's Italian Kitchen, located at 5181 Keller Springs Road, Suite 101, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the affordable bar and Italian spot, which offers pizza and more, four stars out of 243 reviews.
Its signature pizzas include the White Out with Alfredo, chicken, spinach, mushrooms and ricotta; the Bro with marinara, pepperoni, ham, bacon and sausage; and the Healthy with marinara, artichokes, spinach, mushrooms and ricotta.
