Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top fitness studios around Columbia, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture the next time you're looking to shake up your workout routine.
1. CrossFit Revamped

Topping the list is CrossFit Revamped. Located at 9520 Gerwig Lane, Suite L-M, the interval training gym is the highest rated fitness spot in Columbia, boasting five stars out of 14 reviews on Yelp.
CrossFit implements several high intensity movements and activities such as push-ups, pull-ups, deadlifts and squats. Try a session of the basics course, which is an hour and 15 minutes, and a nutrition seminar to learn about health and wellness from a registered dietitian.

2. Haven on the Lake

Next up is Haven on the Lake, situated at 10275 Little Patuxent Parkway. With four stars out of 37 reviews on Yelp, the dance studio, Pilates and yoga spot has proven to be a local favorite.
The 27,000-square-foot retreat's goal is to promote a stress-free environment, per its website. From barre and dance to Pilates, there are various classes to participate in plus retreat-like services to enjoy. Those services include a steam bath, sauna, hot tub and crystal salt therapy.
The facility even offers a space for kids to play that consists of kid-sized arenas, a computer room, a rock wall, climbing ropes, state-of-the-art games and equipment.
“I Love the Haven on the Lake. We did alignment yoga today, followed by a little time in the sauna. Our instructor Rodger was awesome,” wrote Wendy L.
3. YogaWorks Columbia

YogaWorks Columbia, located at 8325 Guilford Road, Suite D, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the yoga studio four stars out of 31 reviews.
The Columbia location is among the 60-plus studios YogaWorks has around the United States. Specializing in all things yoga, the studio offers several programs and classes for beginners to expert level. Try a class, workshop, retreat, Pilates or a private yoga session. (Workshops are open to nonmembers of the studio.)
Yelper Min K. rated the studio four stars and said, “My first time, I tried hot yoga. I went with my friend for the community yoga practice, which was at 8 p.m. on a Thursday. It was amazing practice. Keith was the instructor and he was great.”
4. Awaken Wellness

Finally, there is Awaken Wellness, an acupuncture, massage and yoga spot, with four stars out of 18 Yelp reviews. Head over to 7130 Minstrel Way, Suite 160, to try it for yourself.
Started by married couple Jennifer Stukey and Brian Bieda, Awaken Wellness offers yoga, massage therapy, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The yoga sessions range from 60 to 90 minutes long. Currently, unlimited monthly membership is $88. There are also 90-day and 180-day yoga passes available.
Yelper Jen M. notes, “I have tried several of the services offered at Awaken Wellness. The acupuncture is great. The yoga is a bit less strenuous ... but still good and definitely more relaxing.”
