A contemporary New American spot that offers a variety of menu options has debuted in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Hampden, called Gypsy's Truckstaurant, is located at 3515 Clipper Mill Road in suite B.

According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the eatery gets its name "because it combines the indoor seating and service of a restaurant with a kitchen run out of a food truck." Head chefs Annmarie Langton and Tom Looney also run the award-winning food truck, Gypsy Queen Cafe.

Its menu features signature items like the Gypsy Queen's Famous Crab Cake Cone topped with Old Bay, garlic French fries and aioli. Or try the English Pub Burger with cheddar, curried mayo and chutney.

The newcomer is already off to a strong start, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Emily T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 22, wrote, "Truckstaurant is a new favorite already! We tried the pulled pork nachos, bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Gorgonzola and the Korean beef tacos. They also have an excellent wine list. We cannot wait to come back and try more of their incredible menu!"

Yelper Jessica P. added, “Truckstaurant is delicious. I've heard of their food truck but never had a chance to try it. When I found out about this location, I knew that I had to give it a try. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating. They even have a lounge area to hang out in and grab a drink. The food was so savory, I didn't want the meal to end!”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Gypsy's Truckstaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and closed Monday.
