Yearnings: An Intersection Of the Trivial and Tragic Planes

This exhibit showcases a little-known Buddhist tradition that Kathleen Trenchard has been developing for 30 years. The tradition is Buddhist burial papers, which Trenchard has been collecting. The paper garments are metaphors for timeless continuity and recycling of life and death. The sensory exhibit immerses visitors with incense, fresh flowers, a gong and hot tea.

Turkish Cuisine Cooking Class November 17

If you're interested in learning how to prepare Turkish cuisine, this workshop will share authentic recipes as you cook together and enjoy lunch at the end.
On the menu for this session are dishes like Turkmen Palow, red cabbage salad with tomatoes and date balls.

Mac & Cheese Throwdown!

This throwdown pits seven food trucks against one another as they whip up their versions of mac & cheese. After you taste every food truck's creation, you'll give the coin you received at the entrance to the truck you liked the best.
There's also going to be live music, outdoor games and bar specials.
