A new Caribbean fusion spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 3428 N. Tryon St. in Sugaw Creek, the new arrival is called Negril Social.
Negril Social's menu includes everything from soups and salads to seafood and pastas. Try Chef Romeo's signature fish stew with pumpkin, potatoes, okra, onion and herbs, jerk chicken or the braised oxtail stew. Take a gander at the full menu here.
With a three-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Negril Social is still finding its footing.
Mattie F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 2, wrote, "I loved the food, service, music and everything! I am vegan and the chef actually took extra special care and created a vegan meal just for me."
And KayCee S. wrote, "The ambiance is great and the prices are normal for a Caribbean restaurant."
Negril Social is open from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, and 10 a.m.-midnight on Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
