A new Mexican spot has opened its doors in University City. Called Que Onda Tacos, the fresh arrival is located at 9601 N. Tryon St., Suite K.

Part of a local chain that features three other locations in Charlotte, Que Onda Tacos offers a variety of street tacos. On the menu, look for the Pulled Tinga Chicken (pulled chicken, chipotle tomato, pico de gallo and sour cream) and Coca-Cola Carnitas (pulled pork, pickled onion, cilantro and a side of habanero salsa).

This new arrival also serves Mexican and Latin cocktails such as margaritas and mojitos.

Que Onda Tacos has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Byron M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 31, wrote, "This is an awesome new location and the food is delicious as always! The customer service is great, too."

And Sarah L. wrote, "I went for lunch and had the taco special. The tacos were authentic. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I can't wait to go back for supper and have a margarita or two!"

Head on over to check it out: Que Onda Tacos is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
