A new Hawaiian fusion spot, offering poke and seafood, has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 210 E. Trade St., Suite B226, in Uptown Charlotte, the new addition is called Pokeatery.
With five locations across the country, Pokeatery specializes in poke boxes. Tuna options include ahi, albacore and yellowtail. Additional offerings include salmon, shrimp, octopus and tofu. You can build your own poke box by choosing proteins, toppings, sides and sauces.
With 4.5 stars out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Pokeatery has been warmly received by patrons.
Chris A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 18, wrote, "This is delicious and fresh food. The staff was friendly and helpful in deciding the best way to build a box. The tuna, salmon and spicy tuna were very fresh."
Yelper Missy C. added, “The employees were helpful in making selections for my own poke box with crab salad, cucumber salad, cooked shrimp mixed with a wasabi citrus sauce and mixed greens.”
And Austin C. wrote, "It was delicious and fresh. You can't go wrong with making your own poke box."
