Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable Ethiopian restaurants around Seattle, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.
1. Enat Ethiopian Restaurant

Topping the list is Victory Heights' Enat Ethiopian Restaurant, situated at 11546 15th Ave. NE (between 117th and 115th streets). With four stars out of 192 reviews on Yelp, it is the highest rated affordable Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle.
Enat serves up a variety of African-inspired entrees. Look for notable options like the vegetarian combo platter with seasoned lentils, cabbage and collard greens; the Yebere Siga Tibs, marinated beef stir-fried with onions, garlic and tomato; or the traditional Ethiopian stew doro wot, complete with chicken and a hard boiled egg. 2. Café Avole

Café Avole, an Ethiopian spot that offers coffee, tea, comfort food and more in Rainier Valley, is another much-loved, affordable go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 53 Yelp reviews. Head over to 6630 Rainier Ave. S (between Holly and Warsaw streets) to see for yourself.
Grab a dish of traditional ful, complete with jalapeños, sour cream, tomatoes, onions and spices served with bread; mignon tibs; or quick bites like nachos or grilled cheese.
3. Chef Cafe

Over in Squire Park, check out Chef Cafe, which has earned four stars out of 134 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the Ethiopian spot by heading over to 2200 S. Jackson St. (between South 22nd and South 23rd avenues).
This spot's extensive menu boasts beef, lamb, fish, chicken and vegetarian entrees. Hone in on notable choices like asa wot, chunks of fish simmered in herbs and berbere sauce; green chicken sautéed in olive oil, onion and garlic with sliced tomatoes; or sega tibs, cubes of beef with onions and house tomatoes.
