Looking to chow down on some Georgian fare? A new spot has you covered. Located at 14-29 River Road in Fair Lawn, the fresh addition is called Shoti Bread House.
On the menu, look for hot and cold appetizers such as beets pkhali with walnuts and blinchiki (grilled beef and pork wrap). Freshly baked breads, Georgian cheese, grilled kebabs and entrees like chakapuli (a lamb stew) are also on offer. And don't miss out on the adjaruli khachapuri, a boat-shaped bread with gooey sulguni cheese, butter and a poached egg.
Shoti Bread House is off to a promising start with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Glenn C., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 9, wrote, "This place only opened a week ago and it's already crowded. I ordered two dishes as well as a bottled Georgian pear lemonade. ... Excellent Georgian food and a real gem."
Yelper Sofo S. added, “Everything is delicious and cheap. My favorite is the khinkali and Khacthapuri.”
