1. Tous Les Jours

Topping the list is Tous Les Jours, a French-style bakery with Asian influences. Located at 9380 Baltimore National Pike, Suite 111, the bakery is the highest rated dessert spot in Ellicott City, boasting four stars out of 213 reviews on Yelp.
Tous Les Jours has more than two dozen locations across the country and aims to serve a "unique selection of bakery goods and beverages made with the highest quality ingredients from South Korea," per its website. Freshly baked breads, cakes, macarons and other desserts are on offer.
Yelper Kendoll C. wrote, "Even before we ordered, just walking around we were overwhelmed. In a good way! Everything looks delicious, is super soft, moist and fresh. Amazing prices, quality and quantity guaranteed."
2. Snow Cafe

Next up is Snow Cafe, situated at 9065 Frederick Road, Suite A. With four stars out of 180 reviews on Yelp, the cafe, which offers coffee, desserts and more, has proven to be a local favorite.
Stop in for its signature snow ice in flavors like mochi and red bean, or try the waffle with gelato.
Yelper Jenny D. said, "This is my absolute favorite dessert place in the area! The snow dessert and waffles are to die for. I love the consistency of the snow; it's light and refreshing and melts in your mouth."
3. Sweet Cascades

Sweet Cascades is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 47 Yelp reviews. Head over to 8197 Main St. to see for yourself.
The chocolate shop offers a variety of traditional treats and creative options like the blood orange truffles, chocolate crabs with Old Bay seasoning and white chocolate bark. Malts, shakes and floats are also on offer.

4. Soft Stuff

Last but not least, there's Soft Stuff, a local favorite with four stars out of 97 reviews. Stop by 10039 Baltimore National Pike to hit up the spot to score ice cream next time you're in the mood.
The family-owned business made its debut in 1984 and is still dishing out creamy frozen desserts, including 12 flavors of ice cream and vanilla yogurt. It now offers indoor seating plus sundaes and milkshakes.
Yelper Lavanya G. said, "I have been coming to Soft Stuff since I was a child! ... Portion sizes are pretty large, so I always stick to a kiddie size, and add sprinkles when I'm in the mood for it. I always always recommend Soft Stuff to anyone visiting Ellicott City!"
