A new spot to score noodles has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Tang, it is located in the former Pizza Hut space at 1990 M St. NW in Dupont Circle.

The new entrant in the fast casual space allows customers to craft their own noodle soup inspired by varieties available in Asia. First, choose from four broth options: pork, seafood, spicy seafood and veggie. Then select a type of noodle: ramen, thick noodle or rice noodle. Finally, add toppings and garnishes, from scallions and edamame to shrimp and crab stick.

Tang also has diners covered if they'd rather let the restaurant do the work, with house combos that include chashu meat, button mushroom and bean sprouts with ramen noodles in a pork broth.

It's co-located with Kung Fu Tea, if that's your cuppa boba.

Tang has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Micaela R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 10, wrote, "I opted to go with the pork noodle bowl since it was my first time there. The broth was good. The star of the bowl was the noodles, which appeared to be freshly made."

Yelper Jennifer C. added, “The portion was just right amount, not too heavy. The broth was really good; it is not too salty. The ramen noodle was fresh. Very satisfied. The price was reasonable. Perfect for lunch.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Tang is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
