Its specialties, like honey-marinated fried green tomatoes with a tarragon remoulade, or the jerk pork with fried plantains and coconut curry, draw on many influences in their updated takes on American classics.
2. Corner To-go
Next up is Corner To-Go, situated at 647 Plumas St. With 4.5 stars out of 41 reviews on Yelp, this limited-seating, mostly takeout spot has earned praise from reviewers for its reasonable prices and modern takes on comfort food, from fried chicken and waffles to pulled pork tacos with peach-apple salsa.
3. Hillcrest Landing
Hillcrest Landing, an upscale New American restaurant and bar, is another well-liked spot, with four stars out of 11 Yelp reviews. Although the menu changes weekly to take advantage of seasonal ingredients, Yelpers consistently praise the steaks, live music and great service.
