New Helvetia Brewing Company, one of Sacramento's veteran entrants to the ongoing craft beer craze, is celebrating its sixth anniversary in collaboration with other local breweries. 

The party will feature live music, food available for purchase from the Chando's Tacos food truck, games like ping pong, and a set of six beers from Crooked Lane, Claimstake, Fort Rock Brewing, Flatland, Moksa and The Monk's Cellar Brewery.

The Federalist's craft beer tasting classes reliably sell out months in advance. Through midnight Wednesday, the pub is offering a particularly good deal for four people, to be redeemed sometime in the next three months.

The tastings focus on Northern California craft beers, and each ticket includes eight four-ounce beers and a spread of nibbles to sample during the 90-minute class. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of eight people.
