A new traditional American, offering Mexican, seafood and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. The newcomer to West Cliff, called The Purple Frog Restaurant, is located at 3468 Blue Bonnet Circle.
On the menu, expect options like the California Burger with smoked bacon, avocado and jack cheese; the Salmon Picatta simmered in a lemon caper wine sauce and served with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies; and the Signature Catfish served with fries, coleslaw and jalapeño hushpuppies. The Purple Frog Restaurant has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Melissa G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 23, wrote, "Came here because I saw a picture of the shrimp cocktail on Instagram. Ordered it and loved it! Then we got the sampler, then our meals. The most important takeaway is that the portions are huge! Couldn't even touch my dinner."
And Jessica S. wrote, "This is the yummiest food ever! Unique flavors I have only had here."
