Topping the list is  Price's Chicken Coop. Located at 1614 Camden Road, it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting four stars out of 378 reviews on Yelp.

Price's specializes in fried chicken but also offers burgers, seafood and barbecued pork, as well as chicken gizzards and liver. Bring cash as this spot does not accept credit or debit cards.

Yelper Margie S. wrote, "Very good fried chicken — crispy outside, moist and tender inside. The hush puppies were some of the best I've ever had."

2. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, located at 1920 Camden Road, is a hot spot to score ice cream in the South End.

The creamery offers a wide selection of seasonal flavors — including egg nog, pumpkin and brambleberry — that can be enjoyed onsite or delivered in bulk.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams currently holds a 4.5-star rating out of 86 reviews on Yelp, indicating positive attention from users.

3. Bardo

New American spot Bardo is another top choice in the South End. Yelpers give the business, located at 1508 S. Mint St., Unit B, 4.5 stars out of 32 reviews.

Bardo specializes in small plates, alongside cocktails, wine and beer. From oysters to beef tartare to scallops, the menu offers a wide variety of selections.

Yelper Savi S. wrote, "Everything we ordered was excellent, the drinks were amazing, and the service was top notch. Some of our favorite dishes from the evening were the sweetbreads, ribeye, beets and carrot cake."

With three other locations, including spots in Atlanta and Houston, Superica offers nachos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and more for lunch and dinner daily.

Yelper Krista R. wrote, "The most amazing Tex-Mex ever! I can't get enough of this place. The steak fajitas are mind blowing, especially with the Mexican butter. Homemade flour tortillas, delicious salsas, and I love the hot tamales."

5. Leroy Fox South End

And then there's Leroy Fox South End, a local favorite with four stars out of 177 reviews. Stop by 1616 Camden Road, Suite 150, to hit up the Southern spot next time you're in the neighborhood.
