On the menu, you'll find the burger served with lettuce, tomato and pickles. You can add cheese, smoked bacon, chili, fried egg, grilled onions, guacamole, mushrooms or jalapeños. It also offers chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and more.

2. Boba Tea

Next up is Boba Tea, a spot to score bubble tea, coffee and more, situated at 3850 S. New Braunfels Ave., Suite 108. With four stars out of 89 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite. 

On the menu, you'll find green, black and milk teas, which you can add boba to. It also offers slushies, juices, smoothies and coffee beverages. Pick up some macaroons to complement your drink.

Andie H. wrote, "This is our favorites boba place in San Antonio. The selection is huge and always expanding, full of yummy flavors. Salted plum is a favorite of mine, even though I usually go for smoothies."

3. La Chinita's Restaurant

La Chinita's Restaurant, a Chinese and Tex-Mex spot, is another neighborhood go-to, with four stars out of 71 Yelp reviews. Head over to 1012 Avondale Ave. to see for yourself. 

On the menu, you'll see Chinese options like the Mongolian Chicken, the Pepper Steak and the Roast Pork with mixed vegetables. It also offers Tex-Mex fare, such as enchiladas, chalupas, tacos, carne guisada and more.

4. Neptune's Seafood House

Check out Neptune's Seafood House, which has earned four stars out of 27 reviews on Yelp. You can find the traditional American spot, which offers seafood and salads, at 1922 Goliad Road.

In addition, they serve great shrimp, oysters, catfish, fried mushrooms and chicken fried steak. One of the owners are always on site, either Janine or Kenny, and they'll make sure everything is good about your meal."
