If you love live music, there's no time like the present when it comes to getting out and about in Charlotte. From a one-year anniversary bash to bass and drum music, here are the local shows worth checking out this weekend.

Queen City Trance 6 

KGBeats Entertainment presents this one-year anniversary event. The list of performers includes Spectre, George Mack, Julian Newman and more. The event is for those 21 and older. Admission is free before 10 p.m. with your RSVP. 

When: Friday, Dec. 28, 9 p.m.- Saturday, Dec. 29, 2 a.m.

Orbit with Vonfunkhauser 

Sung Harbor will host this final Saturday evening of 2018 event. Musical offerings will feature the playing of tambourines, maracas, bongos and more. Admission is free to the first 50 people to RSVP.   

When: Saturday, Dec. 29, 9 p.m.- Sunday, Dec. 30, 2 a.m.

'Aphrodite 

DJ Aphrodite (Gavin King), the founder of Aphrodite Recordings, will be the featured performer at this concert. Expect drum and bass selections at this 18 and older event. Krost, Jon C., Kenny Breakz and DJ Mad Monk are also scheduled to perform.
