Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker

If you want to soak up the last days of the holiday season, check out a performance of the "Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker" this weekend.
Characters like the Sugar Plum Fairy, Babette LaFave and Snowflakes will all make an appearance, along with toe-tapping choreography and jazz arrangements.
Running for more than a decade, the show was voted Best Burlesque in Western Washington by King 5 News.

Live Blues at Highway 99

Harpdog Brown and The Uptown Blues Band will perform a set at the Highway 99 Blues Club on Saturday night.
Brown, a Canadian-based singer and harmonica player, has released four albums to critical acclaim and has been a staple in the country's blues scene for more than 35 years, according to the venue's website.
