First up, here's a chance for the community to provide feedback on its future at the free Voice of the Community Neighborhood Forum on Thursday afternoon at the Mecklenburg County Bar.

The promoter, Livable Meck, describes the event as  an opportunity for "residents' priorities to shape future decisions" about the community. There will be refreshments available.

SouthBound and The Music Yard are hosting the "Holiday Pop-up Shop with Ronald McDonald House" on Saturday at The Music Yard. The event is a chance to knock out some holiday shopping from local vendors as the season is quickly winding down.

Organizers are also requesting donations of new, unwrapped gifts for babies, kids and adults to give to the Ronald McDonald House.
