Finally, a new Five Guys has made its debut in the former Don Pablo's space at Potomac Yard, 3525 Jefferson Davis Highway. It shares the building with &pizza and Cava. The international franchise started right here in the D.C. metro area in 1986.

You'll find a straightforward menu built around the basic hamburger made from lean, never-frozen beef. Add cheese, bacon or both, then finish it off with as many toppings as you'd like, from a list that includes pickles, grilled mushrooms and hot sauce.

There are also hot dogs, a few sandwiches and fresh-cut fries on offer. With five stars out of eight reviews on Yelp, this outpost of the burger chain is off to a strong start.
