Need some coffee? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1101 Connecticut Ave. NW (between North Desales and North L streets) in Downtown, the fresh addition is called Gregorys Coffee.
The coffee spot, which also has several locations throughout New York, works with "the world's premier importers and exporters of coffee, who give us access to the best and most interesting coffees available," according to its website. Coffee varieties include Gregs House, an everyday blend; Night Vision, an espresso blend; and a decaf blend.
It also offers pastries, including fritters, tarts, muffins, pound cakes, brownies, doughnuts and more. (See those here.)
The newcomer has made a solid impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Greg S., who was the first to review it on Dec. 5, wrote, “Great new coffee shop near the metro station. You can order ahead if you download the 'Gregular' app. You can also earn rewards. The coffee was fresh and the staff friendly. ”
