Hard Conversations: Acing Child Wellbeing to Prevent Adult Homelessness

Tomorrow, listen in as Jessica Trudeau, director of development and strategic partnerships at Momentous Institute, and Alan Cohen, CEO of the Child Poverty Action Lab, discuss the link between childhood adversity and adult homelessness. Coffee and water will be served and feel free to bring a bagged lunch.

The Red Hat Party

Taking place at the remodeled home of Andrew Lee, a new, unwrapped toy gets you in to this benefit for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Cash donations of $20 or more will be accepted as well. Expect adult beverages, hors d'oeurves and a snarky gay Elf on a Shelf. There will also be photos with Santa and a hat-judging contest.

Calling all gay kickballers and dodgeballers for a drag race benefiting The Resource Center. You can also support teams and the LGBT community by attending and cheering them on.

12 Bars of Charity - Dallas 2018

Finally, 12 Bars of Charity is a competition taking place among eight of the area's most popular charities. They'll be split up into teams with the ultimate goal of having the most people signed up under their cause. Drink specials will be available at each bar and there will be free shuttle rides.
Some of the participating charities include Kidd's Kids, Leukemia Texas and Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
When: Friday, Dec. 14, 8 p.m.- midnight
