A new Chinese pla offering street-style fast food has opened for business on the Ave. Located at 4730 University Way NE in the University District, the fresh addition is called BCZhang.

Specializing in jianbing (a savory Chinese street snack akin to crêpes), this new spot currently has seven options. The Beijing Style jianbing comes with deep fried dough sticks and eggs, while the Beef, Egg and Veggie, as the name suggests, is filled with beef, eggs and vegetables.

All the jianbing are made with wheat and red bean flour, according to the menu. Diners will also find three kinds of pot stickers.

BCzhang has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Emily L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 15, wrote, "Wow! Got a recommendation from friends and had to check it out. We split three different crepes and it was out of this world. So delicious!"

And Joyce W. wrote, "I decided to check out this new place on the avenue and am so glad I did! They make savory crepes with an Asian flair and they are delicious!"

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. BCzhang is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday-Friday and 10 a.m.–midnight on Saturday.
