A new sushi bar and Japanese spot, offering poke and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Uptown Charlotte is called Sukoshi.

With sister restaurant, O-Ku Sushi, also in operation in Charlotte, Sukoshi offers fast-casual sushi offerings for carrying out. Look for sushi rolls, bowls, salads and more. The new spot also offers a catering service.

With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, it's still early days for Sukoshi.

Kevin L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 17, wrote, "The bowls were beyond amazing. The Wagyu beef had so much flavor to it, so I savored every bite. As for the Sake to Me, the Scottish salmon reminded me of a dialed down version of the amazing lox I used to get in Montreal."

And Seaira W. wrote, "This place is amazing. I tried the egg rolls, dim sum, seaweed salad and zen garden salad with carrot ginger vinaigrette."

Sukoshi is now open at 101 S. Tryon St., Suite #120, so head on over to check it out.
