A new spot to score pizza has made its debut in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Ravenna, called Marco Polo Pizza, is located at 1505 N.E. 65th St. (between North 16th and North 15th avenues).
Marco Polo Pizza offers a small selection of pizza, salads and drinks. On the menu, expect to find pepperoni, Hawaiian, plain or vegetarian pizza. Look for its namesake Marco Polo, topped with mozzarella, provolone, mushrooms, olives, salami, tomatoes and goat cheese. Pair that slice with a Ceasar, Italian or garden salad.
The fresh addition has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
C S., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on Dec. 13, wrote, "Good neighborhood pizza! Will order again! ... They have an excellent weeknight pizza: hot with great toppings and delivered fast."
Yelper Wesley Z. added, “The biggest thing that stood out to me was the dough. Perfectly soft and chewy. Once you got to the crust, it was almost the consistency of a New York bagel straight out of the pot. The cheese was perfect and the sauce had a distinct fresh tomato taste to it."
