Surely you've heard of Shake Shack by now. The international, New York-based chain, known for its all-natural Angus beef burgers and milkshakes, is now open in Ballston. Find it at 4201 Wilson Blvd., Suite 180.

You'll find the signature cheeseburger, smashed thin and cooked on a griddle, served with house sauce on a potato bun. Adjustments include removing the cheese, adding mushrooms, bacon or a second patty. The menu also offers hot dogs, a chicken sandwich, fries and desserts like frozen custard and shakes.

Diners order from electronic kiosks, then pick up their fare at the counter.

With a four-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer has gotten a good response.

Pamali Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 15, wrote, "This location was amazing. Food was fantastic, and the employees were all friendly, helpful and smiling. Whatever training these employees had, please give to the ones at your Union Station location."

And Josie N. wrote, "Went to Shake Shack for lunch, and it was crowded. We were able to find a seat pretty easily. The food came out in 10 minutes, and it was delicious. "

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Shake Shack is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
