
A new vegan spot, offering specialty food and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 14929 Shady Grove Road, Suite M, in Fallsgrove, the new addition is called St. Veg. Its concept is that is has no GMOs, chemical preservatives or processed meats. All the food at St. Veg is plant-based, while its breads are delivered fresh daily.
The menu offers tapas, bowls, burgers, sandwiches and soups. Highlights include the Vegloaf Bowl that comes with blended tofu, mushrooms, carrots, rice noodles and leeks, as well as the Vegball Sub that contains brown rice and mushrooms that are topped with marinara sauce and basil.
With a 4.5-star rating out of 41 reviews on Yelp so far, St. Veg has been warmly received by patrons.
Jami S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 17, wrote, "This is a plant-based restaurant. Everything is made fresh to order. The owner is so kind. I really like the touchscreen they have. It makes ordering so easy. The [veggies and tofu] sandwich I had was amazing."
And Lisa P. wrote, "Wow, I can't believe the depth of flavor in my dishes. The spring rolls were absolutely perfect! Crispy on the outside and perfectly shredded and seasoned filling. I also ordered the Flavor Bomb banh mi, which I thought was very tasty and the broth was a great accompaniment."
