Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gastropubs in Charlotte, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture next time you're on the hunt.
1. The Cellar at Duckworth's

Topping the list is The Cellar at Duckworth's. Located at 330 N. Tryon St. in Fourth Ward, it's the highest rated gastropub in Charlotte, boasting 4.5 stars out of 434 reviews on Yelp.
The underground, speakeasy-inspired gastropub and cocktail bar offers a wide selection of steaks — from filet mignon to ribeye to the Kansas City strip. Lamb chops, grouper and snapper can also be found on the dinner menu. And to wash it all down, opt for a draft beer from Allagash Brewing Company, Anderson Valley Brewing Company, Grimm Artisanal Ales and other domestic breweries, or go for a classic or signature cocktail.
2. Soul Gastrolounge

Next up is Commonwealth's Soul Gastrolounge, situated at 1500-B Central Ave. With four stars out of 943 reviews on Yelp, the spot has proven to be a local favorite.

3. Crêpe Cellar

North Charlotte's Crêpe Cellar, located at 3116 N. Davidson St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the creperie and gastropub four stars out of 374 reviews.
Established in 2009, this spot specializes in European fare. Try a ham and gruyere crepe or pesto brie appetizer with a pint of European beer. End the experience with a dessert crêpe. Behind the bar, expect apéritifs, wine, draught beers and digestifs.

4. Bulla Gastrobar

Bulla serves traditional Spanish tapas. Expect paella, cured meats, grilled octopus salad and more, as well as an extensive list of wines, beers and craft cocktails.

5. The Suffolk Punch

Over in Southside Park, check out The Suffolk Punch, which has earned four stars out of 210 reviews on Yelp. You can find the combination brewery and taphouse, gastropub and cafe, at 2911 Griffith St.
From the kitchen, expect a wide variety of small plates, sandwiches, entrees, salads and desserts — like A Proper Good Reuben and the bananas Foster.
