Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top Mediterranean spots around Greenville, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to satisfy your cravings.

1. Pita House

Topping the list is Pita House. Located at 495 S. Pleasantburg Drive, the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spot is the highest rated place of its kind in Greenville, boasting 4.5 stars out of 338 reviews on Yelp.

Jackie W., who reviewed it on Nov. 4, wrote, "I've had great Mediterranean food and this fits in that tier. This rivals food that I would get in NYC. I ordered the Middle Eastern plate and scarfed it down. I am a big fan of the gyro and falafel and the hummus. I want to try tzatziki next time."

2. The Lazy Goat

Next up is The Lazy Goat, situated at 170 Riverplace. With four stars out of 373 reviews on Yelp, the Mediterranean spot, which offers tapas and more, has proven to be a local favorite.

Expect dishes like the Lazy Paella with rice, green beans, roasted chicken, chorizo and lemon aioli; the Black Tahini Chicken with black tahini yogurt, shishito peppers, marble potatoes, kale and charred onion vinaigrette; and the Brie Pizza with fig marmalade, harissa sugo, almonds, sherry glaze, radicchio, apples and sea salt. 3. Green Lettuce USA

Green Lettuce USA, located at 19 Augusta St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the Mediterranean, vegetarian and Middle Eastern spot 4.5 stars out of 90 reviews.

The menu focuses on salads, which include the Shirazi with cucumber, tomato, onion, parsley and lemon dressing, and the Dolma with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber feta, parsley and dolma. It also offers various entrees for dinner.

Kelsey B. wrote, "Always amazing food. Such a great locally-owned spot. Never disappointing. The kebabs are fantastic—the perfect amount to be shared by two."

4. Kairos Greek Kitchen

Angela C., who reviewed it on Dec. 23, wrote, "Kairos is essentially a Mediterranean Chipotle! You get your choice of a platter, pita, salad, grain or protein bowl. For protein, there's falafel, meatballs, lamb gyros and chicken. They also add lentils for the protein bowl."

The menu includes gyros, salads, skewers, rotisserie chicken and an extensive wine list.

And then there's Greektown Grille, a local favorite with four stars out of 65 reviews. Stop by 400 E. McBee Ave., Suites #101 and #102, to hit up the Greek and traditional American spot next time you're looking to satisfy your cravings.

The Greek cafe offers pita sandwiches, grilled entree platters, soups, salads and more.
