S#!tfaced Shakespeare: 'Romeo and Juliet'

First, start the week off with a version of Shakespeare you've never seen with Sh*t-faced Shakespeare: "Romeo and Juliet" on Thursday at The Rockwell. The cast performs the entire play all while dealing with a performer who has had way too much to drink. The promoter of the event calls it a "side-splitting, raucous and completely interactive" show.
When: Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 12-13, 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Hardes Theatre at Phoenix Theatre, 100 E. McDowell Road

'Die Hard: A Christmas Story'

Next, John McClane takes on the bad guys in "Die Hard: A Christmas Story" on Friday at the Playhouse on the Park. However, we are talking about John McClane ... as a puppet! The All Puppet Players is essentially retelling the 1980s classic movie about terrorists who take over an office building in Los Angeles during a holiday party by using puppets. Much like the original, be prepared for foul language and some violence.
When: Friday, December 14, 8 p.m.
Where: Playhouse on the Park, 1850 N. Central Ave.
