The MERRIEST of HOURS!

The BUREAU, which is a sanctuary for women to network, collaborate and share ideas, according to its website, is hosting "The Merriest of Hours!" on Thursday and collecting items to donate to the Calvary Women's Services. Tickets include unlimited festive drinks from Pratt Standard Cocktail Co. and light snacks. 

Here are examples of donations: new and unwrapped pillowcases, twin and full-sized sheet sets, towels, washcloths, body wash, toothpaste, deodorant and Clorox disinfectant wipes.

Calvary Women's Services ""empowers homeless women in Washington, D.C., to transform their lives through housing, health, education and employment programs" according to its website.

Eve of the Eve Panda-monium benefitting Smithsonian's National Zoo

The Smithsonian's National Zoo is hosting this event on Sunday at Miracle on Seventh Street. All of the proceeds will benefit the zoo, including the pandas. In addition to purchasing drinks, participants will have the chance to take a picture with a giant panda.
