Arlington National Cemetery is looking for help to remove the remembrance wreaths that volunteers placed on the cemetery grounds in December. Thousands of volunteers are needed this Saturday morning, and both children and community organizations are welcome.

The Zip Codes of Our Food: A Quick History of Global Cuisine

Finally, the D.C. Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International — a philanthropic organization of women leaders in the fields of food, beverage and hospitality — is hosting a combined lunch and history lesson this Saturday at Texas Jack's Barbecue. Culinary historian Cici Williams will lead a discussion of how food travelled the world over 2,000 years to create the ethnic cuisines we know today.
