ATC International Championship

First, the All Things Cheer International Championship is being held Friday through Sunday at the Meydenbauer Center. The event is a competition of dance and cheer teams across the U.S. and Canada.

Fitbit Local Sweat
Next, FitBit Local, which organizes free workouts for all levels, is holding Fitbit Local Sweat on Saturday at Life Time Athletic. The free event will include a 30-minute yoga and 30-minute barre workout followed by refreshments. The event organizer requests that all participants bring their own yoga mat.

Experience Dance Program: Bellevue College

If you always wanted to try your hand at learning basic modern dance movement, the Chop Shop: Bodies of Work is offering two free dance classes on Sunday at Bellevue College.
The first class, Reading Dance, is a discussion with professional dancers and choreographer Eva Stone on the type of movement dance uses and how dances are created. The second class, Introduction to Modern Dance, will teach participants basic dance techniques. The classes are open to anyone over 8 years old and of all dance levels.

Andre Mehmari Trio
And lastly, Brazilian pianist Andre Mehmari — along with Sérgio Reze on drums and Neymar Dias on bass — is in town as part of a 2019 tour. Expect to hear songs off of Mehmari's new recording, "Sun Baked at Clube da Esquina," and other compositions.
