Crime incidents in Burlingame saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decline, according to data from SpotCrime, which collects data from police agencies and validated sources.
Incidents rose by about 14 percent, from 674 in November to 769 in December.
Burglary and assault led the most recent increase in crime incidents. Burglary rose from 55 reported incidents in November to 58 in December. Assault incidents went from 25 to 27 for the month, or about an 8 percent increase.
While a somewhat smaller category, there was also a slight increase last month in robbery, from three incidents per month to four. Robbery reports have decreased since the same month last year.
Among the few types of offenses that saw a downturn last month, theft reports went from 104 to 88. Vandalism incidents fell from 24 to 19.
Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays experienced the most reported crimes last month. The largest increase from the previous month occurred on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, while incidents on Thursdays and Fridays went down. Late afternoon, early afternoon and late morning saw the most crime last month on average each day.
