Berkeley Burgers is a spot to score burgers, pizza and hot dogs that's located at 1313 Ninth St. Yelpers are liking the new addition, which currently holds a four-star rating out of five reviews.

Formerly home to both Farm Burger and Berkeley's Marin Pizza, the owner of this joint is making a return to the American classic — grass-fed burgers and "salad" burgers, with patties served bun-less. And have no fear — vegan and gluten-free pizzas are still available. 

Sliver Pizzeria

Sliver Pizzeria is another spot to score a slice that recently opened at 2174 Shattuck Ave. in Downtown Berkeley. Yelpers are fans of Sliver Pizzeria: it's got five stars out of 14 reviews so far.

Cozy into this red-clad pizzeria and dig into one of its unique pizzas, which are crafted with fresh ingredients like corn, zucchini, roasted sweet potatoes, cremini mushrooms and more. The joint also hosts local musicians every Friday and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Pyeong Chang Tofu

Pyeong Chang Tofu is a new Korean spot located at 1269 University Ave. Yelpers are liking the new restaurant, which currently holds a 4.5-star rating.

The menu features Korean cuisine like mung bean, kimchi and seafood pancakes, alongside a variety of tofu soups and mixed rice bowls like the wakame and seaweed bibimbap, served with masago, oyster and rice. Meat lovers will be happy to find an array of barbecued meat selections and meat stews.

Dopp

Stop by 2115 Allston Way in Downown Berkeley and you'll find Dopp, a boutique shoe store. The store offers stylish walking shoes, which are designed to support the ball of the heel by creating a comfortable lift.

Inspired by the footwear of Parisian streets, the designer, Shayla Dopp, adorns the shoes with lamb skin, suede and wood. Check out the full supply here. 

Chloe Cafe

Chloe Cafe is a new Chinese-Japanese hybrid spot, offering bento boxes and more, that's located at 2080 Martin Luther King Jr Way. With a 4.5-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp so far, it seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Situated in a storybook-like stone cabin, this restaurant provides intimate seating where customers can enjoy a plethora of unique eats like the Japanese unagi-don (grilled eel over rice) and bento boxes with honey chicken wings, barbecued beef or curry chicken. 

Ume Desserts

Ume Desserts is an Asian patisserie and cake shop, offering petite desserts, that opened recently at 2433 Durant Ave., Suite D. A 3.5-star rating indicates the sweets shop is still finding its way, but it's in its early days.

The shop offers delicacies like grass jelly with taro ball boba, 20-layer durian crepe cakes, and coconut pudding served in coconuts. The desserts are grab-and-go and stored in refrigerators along the shop's walls.
